Achievements
- Created founding product, "The EMS Pocket Reference Guide" – taken to 15th printing and distribution in excess of 150,000 copies
- Developed and patented the "HeartSave AwarenessTM Program, implemented and licensed throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe
- Wrote & published the book "A Heart for the Community"
- Awarded Canadian National Master Distributor contract with major AED contract in 2001
- Responsible for the raising of public access defibrillation awareness to over 35% of the population in Canada alone, by 2004
- Placement of in excess of 5,000 AED's to a broad range of clients in both the public and private sectors
- Awarded the "Thomas Alva Edison Award for Innovation" in 2003, for development, implementation & licensing of the "HeartSave AwarenessTM Program throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe
- Achieved recognition as one of the Profit 100 "Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies" in Canada in 2004
- Founder nominated for Ernst & Young's "Entrepreneur of the Year Award" in 2004
- Became major Canadian distributor for Defibtech in 2006
- Added U.S. distribution to its contract with Defibtech in 2008
- Both the Chairman & Founder, Jeff Calibaba, and the President and C.O.O., Cheryl McCaughan, are both graduates of the "Entrepreneurial Executive Masters Program" out of MIT in Boston
